Chad Johnson is officially Chad Ochocinco

Citing a dire need for more self-absorption on the part of it’s athletes, the NFL agreed to officially recognize Chad Johnson’s legal name change in August of 2008.

Chad Ochocinco will take to the field for the Bengals in 2009, rendering your old Bengals replica jersey essentially worthless (if it wasn’t already).

League officials had reportedly been complaining for months that its athletes’ egos were too small, or that star players weren’t doing enough to put themselves ahead of the team. The league hopes more players will adopt Johnson’s flair for self-importance in the months leading up to the season.
